Are you tired¬ of that blue banner at the top and bottom of Blu-ray discs? Well, The Incredible Hulk is here to help. The green goliath’s summer hit will be coming to Blu-ray (and 3-disc special edition DVD) on October 21st, but the big guy is smashing that “blu” part of Blu-ray and replacing it with a nice, familiar green.
While The Incredible Hulk was no Iron Man, it was still a heck of a lot better than Ang Lee’s take on the character. Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, and Tim Roth star in a Hulk movie that’s a lot more of a tribute to the old 1970s series than any other film incarnation.
The upcoming 3-disc DVD and Blu-ray release are packed with bonus materials giving behind the scenes looks at the making of the movie and its characters. Bad luck for those hoping to get a shot at Norton’s more meditative cut of the movie though - no alternate cut is being offered… yet. Somehow I still expect that to show up in a future edition, as Marvel milks their franchise for all it’s worth.
Take a look below at the announced features to be included on the DVD and Blu-ray editions of the movie (a single disc edition that just has the movie and deleted scenes will also be available), as well as the artwork that knocks the blue out of Blu-ray and goes green.
