I saw Leatherheads in the theater and found it to be pretty “eh.” It didn’t seem to work well as a screwball comedy, a sports movie, or a romance. It never totally failed on any level, just never succeeded completely.
A movie that doesn’t quite bring home the bacon on the big screen can still be worth an evening in front of the flat screen at home, however. So George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, and John Krasinski are arriving on DVD and Blu-ray on September 23rd. Nothing really special or spectacular at work in the release, no special edition or unrated version where Zellweger goes topless and Clooney goes bottomless. Just a trio of good looking people making witty quips.
