While I don’t think Sex and the City fans are quite to the level of Trekkies or Browncoats, they are still a fanbase I have no interest in crossing. That’s why I’m now running a news story about a DVD that’s already out in stores. A few Sex and the City fans threatened to kidnap my cat and I just can’t risk that they’ll actually do it, so here’s the news.
Sex and the City has been available on DVD for a while. So long, in fact, that HBO has already collected all of the individual seasons they originally released together in Sex and the City: The Complete Series. The 20-disc set includes all of the episodes as well as highlight reels, interactive games, and a series guide, all collected together in a red velvet photo album style case. Very tres chic and appropriate for the series.
If you didn’t see it, Sex and the City has a movie follow up to the series hitting theaters in late May. If you’re not familiar with Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte, this is the perfect way to bone up on the series in order to get all of the in jokes in the movie.
Sex and the City: The Complete Series is already available in stores for a suggested retail price of $299. That’s a lot of Cosmopolitans, though, especially since the real die-hard fans probably already have the series in some configuration.
