Each week DVDs come out. Some of them are worth your time and money and some aren't. Some of them are movies I've seen, and some of them aren’t. Regardless, I give you my opinion on the big release of the week. Take it or leave it, here's the DVD Blend.
Cinema Blend Pick of the Week:
The Big Bang Theory - Season 1
I will admit, I did The Big Bang Theory wrong at the start of its television run. I thought the series was making fun of the braniac, nerdy types that star in the series and so I ignored it. Thankfully, several people (including my own mother) turned me onto the show, which does make fun of the nerdy lifestyle, but also embraces it fully. The show takes a couple of episodes to find its feet, but from then on its laughs-a-plenty as four young scientists struggle to cope with a nonsensical world, made all the more nonsensical thanks to their new next door neighbor, a hot girl. How much to I like the series? Well, I’m picking it above the latest season of The Office and the Blu-ray transfer of Transformers this week. If nothing else, their conversation about Skynet’s choice to place the ultimate killing machine in the body of a seventeen-year-old nubile girl is awesome enough to deserve that.
