Blizzard Announces BlizzCon 2008

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that BlizzCon, their annual gaming convention, will be taking place on October 10th and 11th. It's two months later than last year's convention but it's going to be held in Anaheim so don't worry - it'll still be warm enough to wear your homemade blood elf, warrior-slut outfit (cosplay FTW).
They moved back the two-day event back supposedly to avoid competition from all the other conventions going on in the summer, but I'm wondering if there's any other reason for the switch. Maybe they wanted to give themselves more time to cook up a big surprise for fans. If you'll remember, they announced Wrath of the Lich King, second expansion for World of Warcraft, at last year's BlizzCon. It's possible they could try to top themselves at this year's convention. Will solid release dates for Starcraft II or Lich King be announced? Will they unveil the next generation MMO they're working on? You can find out first-hand by purchasing a ticket for a hundred bucks. Or you can just, you know, read about it on the Internet later. Regardless of whether there's some big announcement, there's still a lot to do there. You can try out upcoming games, compete in gaming tournaments, and hobnob with Blizzard developers. You also get to hit on women dressed up like Tyrande Whisperwind, so that's nice too.
