This morning Ubisoft announced a new installment in the Ghost Recon military shooter series. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will arrive during autumn on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Future Soldier is being developed by the same team as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. The press release promises "cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes." That's about as descriptive as they get.
A multiplayer beta will be held exclusively on the Xbox 360 this summer. Access will be granted to those who buy the 360 version of Splinter Cell: Conviction. This offer will only be good for a "limited time."
"PS3 and 360 coming out at the same time. More PC details later," tweeted Ubisoft community developer Kimi Matsuzaki. Ubisoft's Aymeric Evennou said the same about the PC version. Ubisoft has a habit of releasing the PC edition of multiplatform games later than its console counterparts so we're probably looking at the same situation here.
