You’re excited, or at least curious, when you’ll get to play the new Mega Man 9 game. It’s a ballsy move by Capcom to go full on 8-bit, rather than updating the blue Rockman for HD sets like Bionic Commando’s vaguely in the future release. We’re getting word now that Famitsu, famed Japanese gaming magazine, says MM9 is scheduled to release in Japan this September.
This means nothing to us in the west since Capcom is still quiet on a release in other regions. Perhaps we’ll hear at E3 later this month. I hope so. God, if it’s true that Capcom is focusing on giving gamers an honest new Mega Man I’ll be the happiest boy in all the land. I haven’t played through an entire Mega Man game since replaying 1-3 about two years ago.
Also, could we get at least one screenshot at E3. Please? I’m tired of seeing that animated action shot of Mega Man.
