A game company like Nintendo likes it that you buy a lot of games and hardware. But there's such a thing as being too good of a consumer, according to Nintendo of America prez Reggie Fils-Aime.
"The gaming enthusiast that buys a tremendous amount of games is truly insatiable," Fils-Aime said in an interview with VentureBeat. “In March, we launched Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In April, we launched Mario Kart. In later April, we launched Wii Fit. Then, in July, at E3, they say, ‘where are the games?’”
People want to buy more Wii games? Yes, quite the pickle you've gotten yourself into. I mean, to be able to sell more games, you'd have to produce more games - possibly third-party games. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, those chaps at Nintendo.
