This can’t be true, can it? Apparently, both Mexico and Chile have seen a massive spike in violence, most of which has been attributed to hard rock fans attacking their wimpier emo counterparts. I’m all for sneering at Dashboard Confessional emulators jerking off silently in the corner to Perks Of Being A Wallflower, but the thought of punching a few of those awkward bastards all up in the face never struck me as an above average idea.
According to NME, the onslaught of fists against feelings-prone outcasts was sparked by TV talking head Kristoff after he called the emo movement “fucking bullshit” Not since the release of Mein Kampf and The Bible have so many been injured over the ill-fated nonsense of madmen. Crowds swelled to a reported eight hundred feisty skinheads on March 7th before, in typical military fashion, the group dispersed into small units to maximize the mayhem. Gotta love the ignorant herd mentality.
