Under guise of a rambunctious blast to the past, notably catchy (along with adjectives like awkward or ordinary) endeavor the Stone Temple Pilots will be combining forces with sometimes Pixies genius Frank Black, pitchfork has reported.
The somewhat uneventful combination has scheduled seven dates thus far throughout the months of June and early July, including !gasp! Milwaulkee’s Summerfest. Audiences will certainly be subjected to such staples as “Creep” and “Interstate Love Song” and, if lucky, maybe even a few rounds of Pixies favorites, as it seems highly unlikely a bunch of grunge-d out thirty-somethings will immediately recall or even recognize anything from SVN FNGRS (Frank Black’s latest solo release for those not in the know).
Whatever. I’ll be there. Drunk and screaming all kinds of ridiculous lyrics.
Hope everything is alright…
