A first look at Me and Orson Welles has popped up online in the form of a clip from the film. It’s currently playing at the Toronto International Film Festival where Cinema Blend’s own J.D. really seemed to like it, it’s directed by the great Richard Linklater, and it has Orson Welles as one of the primary characters in it. Count me interested.
It’s the story of a teenager (Zac Efron) cast in the Mercury Theatre’s, Orson Welles directed production of Julius Ceasar in 1937. The film doesn’t have distribution yet, but don’t be surprised if it gets it after Toronto. Here’s the clip:
