When you hear the phrase "multigenerational fatherhood comedy," you might think of Ashton Kutcher's own personal life. After all, he's the stepfather to three teenage and early-20s girls, at least one of whom could conceivably star alongside him in a romantic comedy. And his relationship with Bruce Willis, the father of those girls, is reportedly cordial, though undoubtedly weird.
So maybe Kutcher will be taking some inspiration from his own life with Like Father, a comedy that he will produce and star in. Variety says that indie director Kenneth Lonergan will write the screenplay, about a father and son who grow closer when they coincidentally become fathers at the same time. Y'know, like Father of the Bride 2, except with a lot less Martin Short.
