Jessica Alba is out looking for indie credibility. She’s joined the cast of the comedy Bill for GreeneStreet Films, according to Variety.
It’s credibility that apparently Lindsay Lohan didn’t want. You may remember that yesterday we brought you the story that Lohan just dropped Bill from her schedule because she felt it beneath her. Bill seems to have had no trouble replacing her with another bodacious body, since it looks like Jessica is now hopping on in her stead.
The film is the story of a guy fed up with his job and saddled with a cheating wife. He rebuilds his self-esteem by mentoring a rebellious teen. Where exactly Alba fits into that plot is unknown, the cast is already loaded with other stars. Aaron Eckhart, Timothy Olyphant, and Elizabeth Banks are also on board. I guess she could play the wife, she’s definitely too old these days to convincingly play the teen.
Bill is directed and written by Bernie Goldmann and Melissa Wallack. This is the first time doing either for both of them.
Jessica Alba has just finished work on another GreeneStreet Films movie called Awake, which may explain how they got her to replace Lindsay so quickly. Next up for the former Dark Angel though is work on sequels to Sin City and Fantastic Four.
