We got our first look at the some of the new Star Trek during Comic Con when Paramount released a quad poster showing off young Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and the movie’s villain Nero. If you haven’t seen that yet, click here. Now we have our first look at the rest of the new cast, courtesy of a second teaser poster dug up by the guys over at TrekMovie. Click over there to see it bigger.
The quad poster shows off, from left to right, top to bottom: John Cho as Sulu, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as McCoy, and Anton Yelchin as Chekov. It’s hard to get a feel for any of them with this, but at least it gives us some clue. Hopefully, Simon Pegg’s hair will look less weird when we see a bigger, high-resolution version of the poster. We’re definitely starting to get a good feel for the uniforms though. They look a little like the uniforms used on Deep Space 9 crossed with the original uniforms from the original series. That fits with some of the rumors we’ve heard indicating that the uniforms will be a slightly updated, but mostly faithful rendition of the classic gold, blue, and red uniforms from the original series. As long as they get Zoe Saldana in a miniskirt. Gene Rodenberry’s vision may have been about equality for all, but he wasn’t against women showing a little leg and a lot of thigh.
