Though Meet the Robinsons was supposed to be the end of the line for Disney’s foray into computer animation, the merger with Pixar has revitalized the company’s effort to copy what they do. If you saw Chicken Little you might think that’s a bad thing, unless you also saw Robinsons, one of the first good Disney produced animated movies in nearly a decade.
Disney in-house animation has a future even in a world with Pixar, and that future beings anew later this year with a movie called Bolt. It’s the story of a dog who plays a superhero on TV, and has somehow managed to convince himself he has actual super powers.
There’s a good chance we’ll get some sort of first trailer for Bolt attached to WALL-E in a few weeks, but until then we have this… a Disney promo video containing a few clips from the film. Click play below and get your first look at Disney’s Bolt:
