What is more exciting than getting to see the costume a superhero is wearing in a film? So, maybe the fact that Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) has no special abilities takes away from some of the fun, but he’s still wearing a costume.
Thanks to a reader from SlashFilm.com, we can get a sneak peek at the Kick-Ass title character’s outfit while filming in Toronto. The up-close photos supplied were not of Aaron Johnson himself, but of one of his stunt doubles. There are two other photographs that do have Johnson in costume in them, but only from afar.
Kick-Ass is based on the comic book series written by Mark Millar. Dave Lizewski is an average kid going to a New York City high school. His much too ordinary life and interest in comic books leads him to decide that he must become a superhero himself, even if he doesn’t have any supernatural abilities. The reins have been passed to director Matthew Vaughn and cast members Aaron John and Nicolas Cage to fulfill the hopes of the comic book’s loyal fan base. A studio has yet to pick up this highly anticipated adaptation.
