Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber are just about the most unlikely pair of brothers you can imagine. Hard to picture, right? Now try to see them as Polish brothers, who find themselves resisting the Nazis during World War II. That's right: Sabretooth and James Bond are teaming up to kick the Third Reich's ass.
Defiance, for its part, is a pretty serious-looking World War II drama, directed by Edward Zwick, who also made Blood Diamond and The Last Samurai. The movie comes out December 12, and the first full-length trailer is now available at msn.com. Looking very earnest, uplifting and action-heavy, it seems to fit pretty well into Zwick's past work-- which means it may be an Oscar contender as well as a genuine hit. It at least can't hurt to see James Bond killing Nazis just a few weeks after his latest adventure.
