She’s done Tyler Perry movies and now one of the most talented African American actresses in Hollywood is joining the cast of Cadillac Records. Blackfilm.com has confirmed that Gabrielle Union is joining the already star-studded cast about the rise and fall of Chess Records, and the recording giants that came from it.
Union will play Geneva Wade, girlfriend to Muddy Waters, who the artist would later marry. This will put Union opposite actor Jeffrey Wright, who previously had been confirmed as Waters.
Along with Union and Wright, Cadillac Records currently stars Adrian Brody as Chess Records founder Leonard Chess, Cedric the Entertainer, Beyonce Knowles, and Mos Def.
