Steve Carell is putting himself in extreme danger every minute… and loving it to play Maxwell Smart in a movie version of the show. Normally these sorts of adaptations suck, but while Carell is no replacement for the late great Don Adams he’s a pretty awesome second choice.
The first teaser for Get Smart has just popped up online with Steve in full Smart mode. As a teaser, it’s pretty good. What’s interesting is that they’ve avoided all the expected Maxwell Smart catchphrases. You won’t hear Steve say “missed it by that much”, but you will see him stuck in a phone booth.
