The first poster for Disney’s much anticipated High School Musical 3: Senior Year is here. I know, you’re wondering how you missed the other two. You missed nothing. The other two movies were television events and then DVD sensations. For the third film, Disney figures why not get your money at the movie theater too, so this one, while the third in the series, is also the first High School Musical movie to show up in theaters… where it counts.
The poster has the kids doing the typical graduation celebratory thing. Of course they’re wearing red robes, because all school colors are either red or blue. Not very creative high schools. Just once I’d like to see a bunch of kids graduating in a nice teal, or maybe a hot pink, if only for variety’s sake. Primary colors are so last spring.
In this third installment in the lives of high school kids who are both more popular and prettier than any kid you’ve ever met, “Troy (Zac “too hot for a K” Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) struggle with the idea of being separated from one another as college approaches. Along with the rest of the Wildcats, they stage a spring musical to address their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.”
