Kevin Smith Offers Up Money Shots

It’s October and we’re only a few weeks away from the release of Kevin Smith’s next comedy, Zack and Miri Make a Porno. I’ve been fortunate enough to see the movie and I think it’s one of the funniest things the director has done. With the movie only a few weeks away, it’s time to ramp up the publicity for the movie, and that includes another look behind the scenes like Smith did for Clerks II.

Last time the series was titled “Train Wreck,” an odd title considering how good Clerks II was, but this time the title is more appropriately titled Money Shots. Honestly, these are the kinds of things you’d expect to have seen a few months ago, but, as with the rest of Smith’s publicity for Zack and Miri, there’s been a little bit of a blockade by the MPAA, who had to approve these online featurettes - something I’ve never really heard of before.

The first of the “Money Shots” shorts has arrived online over at Quick Stop Entertainment, along with a revised front page that requires you authenticate your age before progressing. Unfortunately for me, the age authentication continues to tell me I’m too young to access the site no matter what I do. I’m hoping it’s just not Mac friendly and you’ll have more luck. (Update: apparently there's a box you need to mark titled "I certify this is true" in order to get it to register your age. I missed it the first time and it looks like they've altered the page to make it even more evident for morons like me, so the age verification should work)

The first episode clearly sets up the series, with Smith and Zack and Miri star Seth Rogen setting up what the featurettes will be about. Along the way you get a look behind the scenes at several shots, which gives a pretty good idea of what the movie will include.
