Ok I realize I'm on record as saying that Ashton Kutcher is a decent actor. He is! He did something nice in Butterfly Effect and if he'd just stop bouncing around he can be a solid performer. Not great, but he's better than Paul Walker. Still, even I am not ready to buy Ashton Kutcher as an educated young shrink.
But according to Cinescape, that may be just what he's playing in the unwanted sequel to Basic Instinct, tentatively titled, Basic Instinct 2: The Beave is Back. His character will be the schmo being manipulated by Trammel and her pointy ice pick.
Basic Instinct 2 has been in development hell for awhile now, much of that time spent with Sharon Stone set to reprise her role despite her increasingly advanced age and saggy skin. Though it might make sense to have Ashton Kutcher banging another past-her-prime starlet, Stone has since bowed out after a disagreement over who would play her male lead.
