When I saw the trailer for Mirrors in front of The Happening I was pretty unimpressed. Alexandre Aja has been pretty hit or miss for me, and the trailer for Mirrors looked like a big miss (although it did make me want to watch John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness again).
Apparently I wasn’t the only one left wanting when the trailer showed, because a red-band trailer has appeared online that shows a ton more about the movie’s story and actually makes me want to see it. It’s too bad they couldn’t have worked more of the story into the green-band trailer, because it’s not the gore or things that make this a red-band trailer that interest me as much as the story that’s sold by this version.
Head over to the official Mirrors website to view the red-band trailer. Of course it’s protected by that honor system that requires you to put in your date of birth before it’ll show you the trailer. As an additional warning - their security system isn’t working correctly. My date of birth is 1974 and it told me I wasn’t old enough to see the trailer. How screwed up is that?

Looks awesome, kind of Silent Hill-ish.
