The first poster for Steven Soderbergh’s Che Guevara epic has popped up online. It’s only a matter of time before Benicio del Toro’s face is also plastered on t-shirts and sold next to brightly colored water bongs by guys wearing tie-dye t-shirts.
This particular poster appears to be the first half of Soderbergh’s epic, titled The Argentine, or if you’re in Argentina (where this particular poster originated), El Argentino. The second half is called Guerilla. Neither movie currently has a release date planned for the United States.

I don't mean to prejudge, especially since there's no trailer out for it yet, but I don't understand how so many people in this world idolize someone who is a murderer. I'm hoping the filmmakers do Che justice and show all sides to this very misunderstood figure in history. Let's not forget, he fought with Fidel to revolutionize Cuba and lead it into one of the most brutal dictatorships in the history of the world. I know this is a movie site, but as a son of Cuban immigrants who fled Castro's regime, I can't help voicing my opinion.
Iconic - that's Che. Ironic that Latin America's icon of revolution and resistance in the 20th fought to pave the way for another brutal dictatorship. The American Left's romance with this figure is one of the great distortions of our time.
I am glad the movie shows what Ernesto "che" Guevara stands for today a revolutionary. The movie did justice to this man who helped many people, especially the Cubans and if somebody is offended buy this comment, well I don't care......Che forever!!!!
