Any red-blooded male hitting puberty at the time that Casper startled audiences with his CG friendliness in 1995 took notice of Christina Ricci. She was hot, and we still follow her career to this day. Unfortunately, starring in the upcoming computer-generated animation feature The Hero of Color City isn't going to bring back any school boy fantasies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ricci will voice the Yellow Crayon, one of several crayons, whose "colorful world" is threatened by an evil tyrant (an eraser or black permanent marker perhaps?).
This is not the first time Ricci has lent her voice to animation, in 1998, she was Gwendy Doll in Small Soldiers. But details for The Hero of Color City are still sparse -- Ricci is the first cast member announced and the film is still in preproduction. But rest assured that development on merchandise and other annoying plastic things companies can sell to kids based on the film are already in the works.
