Defeater of airborne serpents Samuel L. Jackson has been hired to play the lead in The Cleaner, not to be confused with the upcoming Cedric the Entertainer comedy Codename: The Cleaner.
Sam's movie is a thriller being written by Matthew Aldrich. Production Weekly says it's about an extremely hygienic man named Tom (Jackson) who channels his urge for cleanliness into his professional life by becoming a crime-scene cleaner. Crime-scene cleaners are the poor fellows who come in and clean up all the gore left over from a murder after the police finish their investigation. It's not a happy job.
When Tom inadvertently becomes involved in a job that's actually a murder cover-up, he ends up in a web of deception that brings to the surface his own family's long-buried secrets.
The Cleaner starts shooting this January in Shreveport.

Being the owner of a crime scene clean up company I would like to know how they are going to portray his character. Obviously we would like to see the character to be seen as professional, compassionate, detail oriented and using the proper PPE, disinfectants, proper waste disposal, equipment, and cleaning methods.
I also think it would be a cool twist if they added in the killers were after him.
