For a change, we have something real to report on Martin Scorsese’s next movie, a film called Shutter Island. HR says Mark Ruffalo is all but signed to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in it.
The movie is an adaptation of the 2004 Dennis Lehane novel of the same name. It’s a period piece set in 1954 and has DiCaprio and Ruffallo playing a U.S. Marshalls named Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule respectively. Daniels and Aule investigates the disappearance of a criminally insane murderess. She’s hiding in a remote place in Massachusetts named Shutter Island. I guess there’s a big Wolf Camera there or something.
When not shopping at Scorsese’s Wolf Camera, Ruffallo can be found on the set of his next film Blindness, in which he plays the husband of the only sighted woman in a world of blind people. Earlier this year, if you’d wanted to take a good nap, you could have caught him in the disappointing David Fincher thriller Zodiac.
