Because Body of Lies isn't nearly as good as most people expected it to be, Leonardo DiCaprio is going to have to hang on until Revolutionary Road for his chance at critical acclaim and Oscars this year. Just in time for everyone to get disillusioned with Leo's current movie, there's a second trailer for Revolutionary Road, posted at iKlipz.com and spotted over at In Contention.
The trailer shows many of the same scenes from the first one, but goes further to illustrate how the main couple, Frank and April Wheeler, go from happy intellectuals in New York City to a miserable pair of suburbanites. It doesn't do much to dispel the impression that you'll spend the entire movie watching Kate and Leo fight, even though much of the story in the book revolves around their relationships with their neighbors. Given that Michael Shannon's performance as the mentally disturbed son of a neighbor has been talked-up by Oscar watchers, I'm guessing there are just parts of the movie we're not seeing in these trailers.
Still, this is a good one, and further cements Revolutionary Road as one of the movies I'm looking forward to most this winter. Check out the trailer below:
