Coming Soon has an interesting little blurb about The Simpson’s movie we’ve been hearing about since well, I guess the Morgan Freeman administration. Sounds like maybe it’s finally happening.
Nancy Cartwright, the woman permanently trapped in the body of an eight year old boy named Bart Simpson had this to say about it,"You know what? We've just done the table read for the 'Simpsons' movie so although we've been promoting that we're going to do it, now we're actually doing it and are in production…”
CS! further ads that she said it’ll take two years to make, but offers no quote to back that up. I guess you’ll have to take their word for it. I wonder how they’ll do it? If they’re calling in the voice actors I guess it won’t be Flintstones style live action. CGI? The only sensible option seems to me to be traditional animation, but then how is it any different than just a two hour long episode of the show? I guess it worked for “South Park”, why not “The Simpsons”. Hey, “South Park” did it!
