My expectations for The Spiderwick Chronicles have been pretty low, but CB’s Katey Rich filed an early review a few days ago here, and she seems impressed with it. Maybe we’re in for something better than the usual second-tier fantasy film stuff we’ve had foisted on us in recent years.
