I can't say I read Dante's Inferno particularly closely in college, but I don't remember it having much to do with Las Vegas or insurance fraud. But that's the concept behind Saint John of Las Vegas, a drama that just began production starring Steve Buscemi, Romany Malco and a ton of others.
Buscemi stars as an ex-gambler, according to Variety, who's beng guided through Vegas by an insurance fraud investigator played by Malco (who you remember from The 40-Year Old Virgin). They're joined by all kinds of random actors, from Emily Mortimer (Lars and the Real Girl) to John Cho (Harold and Kumar go to White Castle). It's Vegas, after all-- there's no limit to the kinds of weird characters you can run into there.
The movie is written and directed by first-timer Hue Rhodes, and Buscemi will be producing along with, believe it or not, Stanley Tucci and Spike Lee. And though thought the Ocean's Eleven movies were the only ones with the power to gather a ton of random stars in Vegas.
