When trailers fall in between the Cinema Blend’s couch cushions, they eventually get vacuumed up and deposited here in Trailer Trash. Today's bag of Trailer Trash contains four future viewing possibilities, and one golden oldie. .
First up is the surprisingly funny trailer for Chris Rock’s next movie I Think I Love My Wife. Then put a cape on your dog, throw him off the roof, and get ready for the first Underdog trailer. Then it’s off to a radioactive wasteland, where The Hills Have Eyes 2 rips off the Alien franchise. Last in the new batch is the latest pseudo-trailer for Highlander: The Source. There can be only one good Highlander movie, all the rest are doomed to suck.
I Think I Love My Wife
This is the first trailer for Chris Rock’s latest attempt at making a good movie. Maybe he’s done it this time, with a remake of the 1972 French comedy Chloe in the Afternoon. Watch it in high-res here or just click play below:
Underdog
The superhero genre reaches a real low point this summer, when Hollywood resorts to superhero animals. This is the first trailer for Underdog, and it makes the movie look a lot like a bad Spider-Man spoof. The only real in-movie footage they show is lifted right from the pages of Sam Raimi’s web-slinging opus. Watch it in high-res here or just click play below:
The Hills Have Eyes 2 Aliens meets mutant murder movies in the latest installment of Fox Atomic’s highly successful torture porn franchise, The Hills Have Eyes. This is the second trailer for the film. The first, a teaser, simply showed one of the mutants dragging a very full sack across the desert. This one gives a few details, showing off who they’re going to kill and how they’re going to do it for this one. The victims: A bunch of soldiers. The method? See every death from the first and second Alien movies. Watch it in high-res here or just click play below:
Highlander: The Source
This is the second trailer for the really poorly presented next Highlander sequel, Highlander: The Source. Like the first trailer, this isn’t so much at trailer as a scene from the movie with title credits in front of it. Also like the first trailer, it’s presented in such a low quality format that it’s almost impossible to figure out what’s happening. Watch it in the highest resolution available by clicking here or just click play below:
CLASSIC TRASH: The Original Highlander Movie (1986)
As long as we’re thinking Highlander, why not take a trip down memory lane to the last time a Highlander movie was any good. The year is 1986, and mysterious, super-powered individuals stalk the gritty streets of America’s cities under the tutelage of the great Sean Connery. Highlander has never gotten it right since, but for one movie, guys with swords were really frickin cool. Click play below to watch the original trailer for the 1986 debut of Highlander starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and “Earth 2’s” Danzigger:
