Michael Bay has already promised there will be all sorts of new robot characters in the new Transformers movie, but what you probably didn’t know is that the title is a direct reference to one of them.
The full title of the film is Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Apparently, that does not refer to the Decepticons getting revenge on the Autobots for kicking their ass in the first film. According to TFW “The Fallen” refers to a specific character.
The Transformers universe does already contain a robot named “The Fallen”. He appeared in some of the Transformers comic books, one of the thirteen original Transformers. He’s also not a very nice dude, and in the comics he escapes from his prison puts together an army, forcing the Autobots and the Decepticons to team up in order to fight him. If that’s the route Michael Bay is going, that could mean we’ll see Megatron and Optimus Prime fighting side by side in Transformers 2.

Yea that's been known for a while. It's something that MIGHT make TF2 less of a dump than the first one, but I'm not throwning any money down on that one just yet.
Moonwolf, ur opinion is disqualified based on ignorance. Any knowledge of Transformers mythos would tell u that Megatron returns as Galvatron. The Fallen has never been in any previous cartoon, only comics. He was 1 of the first transformers, ever. And as for the Unicron talk, this movie has nothing to do with Unicron, nothing at all. So plz stop bringing him up. And just for reference, Megatron and the Insecticons were mortally wounded when the Decepticons destroyed Autobot City and killed Optimus in the 1980's animated movie, as a result, Starscream ejected them all into space as they returned to the transformers homeworld (the name of which elludes me at the moment) only to be recovered by Unicron and remade in his own vision of perfect. The Fallen however is potentially much more powerful than Unicron.
TheMyth, the name of the Transformers homeworld is Cybertron. ;P, otherwise you're spot-on right about everything else in the storyline.
I do think it would be awesome if they brought in Unicron in a third movie, and then of course ultimately Galvatron (although he was a whiny bitch).
I did enjoy the first movie. Michael Bay did a good job on that one even though I know it's very unfashionable to say that. The question is, is he fit to direct a movie that has no place for his precious US Army?
