Critical loathing and audience disinterest aren’t stopping Uwe Boll. Cinema’s most infamously bad director has another videogame to movie adaptation coming out, and this time it’s based on the ultra-violent, incredibly offensive videogame Postal. Apparently though, the game itself wasn’t offensive enough for Uwe. For his film adaptation he’ll have all the violence, gore, and abuse of women, small children, and pets that the game is supposed to offer, but he’s also planning to use Postal as a platform to make fun of September 11th.
You heard me right. Uwe Boll is making fun of September 11th.
The website BollBashers has what they claim is an exclusive clip from Postal. The clip features a window washer happily cleaning the exterior glass of a skyscraper when, in an incredibly realistic effects shot, a jumbo-sized jetliner approaches from the distance, collides with the building, and explodes into the Postal credits sequence.
And you thought Alone in the Dark was nauseating.
We haven’t been able to verify whether this clip is the real deal or not and since it’s Sunday we’re not likely to get any confirmation until later in the week, but the clip is very convincing. Actually, it’s almost too convincing. The production values are much better than I’d expect from an Uwe Boll movie. Watch the clip and discover a new reason to hate Uwe Boll (Who by the way is a wealthy German. Not that this has any relevance at all.) by clicking right here.
