This week our discussion of movie and entertainment news winds up sparking an interesting discussion about the role of a critic. When is a critic doing their job, when are they just being flat out mean, and when are they too close to a movie to truly offer an unbiased opinion? Not all is serious, however, as we give Tim an excuse to recite Kevin Smith movie lines and get revenge on Margaret for all of those "take a shot" comments.

NOOOOOOO!
I'd rather never see another Batman movie than see them bring Bryan Singer on to do the next one! Singer made one good X-men, one really good X-men, and one really lack luster, uninspired, unoriginal, clunky, overlong, Superman movie. You may not have realized that Singer ended Superman Returns the same way every He-Man cartoon ended ... with the hero lifting something really heavy and throwing it into space.
Singer is a no! Keep Nolan, if not, let the series end on a high note.
As for your comment about Sly as Batman and Frank Miller's comments, I couldn't agree more! Miller's work on Batman hasn't been good for years. Dark Knight Returns was excellent, as was Year One. But since then, his work stinks. The sequel to Dark Knight was complete garbage, as was the prequel series he wrote (wherein he told the recently orphaned Dick Grayson to eat the bats if he gets hungry).
