Following failure at fitting in at numerous private schools, wealthy teenager Charlie Bartlett (Yelchin) is sent to try life in a new public high school. Charlie's way of fitting in winds up putting him in the position of "psychiatrist" to the student body, giving advice and sharing his own psychiatrist's prescription book with his classmates. Along the way Charlie starts to learn something about himself and takes his own advice to venture into romance and finally finding a place in life.

The promotional vibe for the movie gives of such a Running With Scissors vibe I was seriously surprised not to see Augusten Burroughs name attached in some form. Is there room for another dark coming-of-age comedy, especially one that seems so similar to what we've seen before?
