2008 Hugo Nominees Announced

Every year I get a simple reminder that I don’t read enough. Right around this time of year, the nominations for the annual Hugo awards come out, and I don’t recognize nearly enough of the nominees in any of the categories except the dramatic presentations. While it’s always nice to know I’m on top of science-fiction on television and in movies, it’s always a grim reminder that I need to read more.
Here’s a look at the 2008 Hugo Award Nominees. The Hugos, named after the founder of Amazing Stories magazine, are awarded annually by the World Science Fiction Society. This year’s presentation of awards will happen August 6th-10th in Denver, Colorado at the 66th World Science Fiction Convention.
