Google And GE Set Date For Energy Efficient Union

Google is the rare mega company that people just aren’t as paranoid about, despite the company’s penchant for keeping track of lots of data on each of us. GE on the other hand is just another conglomerate that is met with suspicion and paranoia to just the right degree. Unless Google plans to make a washing machine with GE that allows you to search for missing socks there doesn’t appear to be any common ground the two could work on.
The two companies are hoping that come January we’ll have an administration in place at the White House that’ll be interested in moving forward on energy efficient policies. As wonderful as alternative energy sources are they will mean little when lost to the old power infrastructure. The current power grid in this country is decades old, and leaks like Fergie dancing on stage. Google and GE want to implement more intelligent systems to improve efficiency. This will also help to increase the viability of wind power and electric cars. Of course neither company can do all of this work if the government is negligent in its t ask to create a more energy efficient nation. There’s only so much we can pay out at the gas pump and in our utility bill before our wallets bust. And stop gap shenanigans to garner votes in the upcoming election does nothing but hurt the people. RELATED: google, ge, power grid, energy efficiency
