Muppet Star Wars Figures From A Theme Park Not So Far Away

By Steve West: 2008-04-27 14:43:14

Muppet Star Wars Figures From A Theme Park Not So Far Away Each year at Disney World the parks open up to another group of rabid fans. For a single weekend at the happiest place on earth is transformed into the happiest place in a galaxy far far away. Star Wars weekend is a celebration of all things Force-full. From appearances by Peter Mayhew to David Prowse, and all the collectibles you could possible want, this is a great experience for anyone who loves Disney and the Star Wars universe. This year Disney’s affection for Star Wars is going even further with the release, sometime over the summer, of all new Star Wars Muppet figurines.

The style and look of the figurines is partly based on the look of the Muppets from The Muppet Show when Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) appeared, and some of the Muppets donned the guises of famed characters of Star Wars. The new set will be available exclusively at Disney Theme Parks, or the day after release on Ebay for an exorbitant price.

Here are the figures:

Kermit as Luke Skywalker
Miss Piggy as Princess Leia (which makes no sense if you think about it…)
Fozzy Bear as Chewbacca
Beaker as C-3P0
Rizzo the Rat as Yoda
Gonzo the ?? as Darth Vader
