Well, Neil Patrick Harris may not have wanted Britney Spears to make a return to the set of How I Met Your Mother, but judging by the matching sweaters, it appears as though he’s come around. This picture is from HIMYM’s May 12th episode, in which Brit reprises her role as Abby, Stella’s (Sarah Chalke) ditzy receptionist.
On her first episode, Abby fell madly in love with Ted, only to be thwarted by his feelings for Stella. At the end of the day, however, good ol’ Barney entered the picture and his offer of shopping and sex seemed to mend her broken heart. Judging by the look of next week’s episode, that relationship may be turning into a bit more than a one-night stand.
Of her return to the CBS comedy, Spears says, "I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn't wait to come back." Since her first appearance netted the sitcom its highest ratings ever, I’m sure the feeling was mutual—at least from the producers’ standpoint.
Personally, I’m looking forward to this episode. I have a feeling that Barney and Abby are moving forward with their “relationship” just so they can each get closer to Ted (of course, for different reasons. Probably.). Plus, her weave looks way more under control in this picture than it did last time she made an appearance, so that’s always a plus. What do you think? Is Britney’s return a good thing for the show, or will it detract from the core storylines?

If It saves this show for another season, I dont care how many episodes Britany is in. She hasn't done anything to humilate the show. She was good last time and Im sure the writers no how to put her in again.
